The Arty A7 is a ready-to-use development platform designed around the Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA family. With the Artix-7 devices, the Arty A7 board provides the highest performance-per-watt fabric, transceiver line rates, DSP processing, and AMS integration in the Arty family. With the MicroBlaze Soft Processor Core from Xilinx, you can create embedded applications with a variety of peripherals, memory, and interfaces.

To create and modify designs for your Arty A7, you can use Xilinx's Vivado Design Suite. Vivado is a software designed for the synthesis and analysis of HDL designs. Both variants of the Arty A7 are supported by the free WebPACK edition of the Vivado Design Suite.

    5.stars for the product, minus ZERO stars for the delivery expenses

    产品很好(5星)。问题是熟食very expenses (zero stars). Initially I thought that the total expenses were 45 dollars (Fedex) delivery that I paid through paypal. However, when the packet arrived at Greece, another company (Orbit Couriers S.A.) that corporates with Fedex, asked me to pay ~160 Euros in order to perform customs clearance and bring the package to my home address. Ridiculously, I paid 350 dollars for a single Arty A7 board (200 euros (~231 dollars) for the shipment plus 119 dollars for the board).

    Vivado is so much better than ISE. I took a digital circuits class in college and we used the basys 2 board and ISE. I liked the course so much I wanted to get my own FPGA. And arty is the one I decided on and I haven't regretted that decision one bit. Turning it into a web server or a powerful micro-controller has been a blast especially with Vivado HLS. This board has plenty of IO and I can barely use a fraction of the Artix-7 35T can't imagine what I'd do with the 100T.

    Great value for the money. I am able to run Vivado on a MacBook Pro using Fusion running Windows without any problem. No issues programming the ARTY board and the UART works just fine. I just wish the ARTY board had mounting holes on it.

    I love this product. It's so nice to be able to learn such a powerful piece of software like Vivado and have a nice little development board for only $100. Bravo. I've already gotten a couple friends to buy one.

    If you are a bit familar with VIVADO or HLS you have a wonderful development platform, that is today (01/2017) more or less exactly doing what you want it to do. The tools are today quick enough (2016.4) and very well working (in contrast to the beginning). Even HLS (C/C++ to VHDL is working pretty fine), Microblaze works like a charm ... I want to give lessons with ARTY because its cheap. Maybe I will make it a present after the lessons. Thank you Digilent for providing such useful product! Anything to enhance? Yes: Increase memory Thanks a lot! /Jesko
